This is Malaika, the most photographed cheetah in the Mara. Born in 2007, we photographed her with 4 cubs, and had the joy of being alone with her in the Mara when she put on an unforgettable exclusive show for us when she made a kill and brought it within a few feet of us to feed her babies. Sadly, Malaika suddenly disappeared in 2018, presumably drowned in the Mara river during heavy rains. However, her cubs survived, but have not been seen recently.
