SCHEDULE
DAY 1
Guests arrive in Nairobi Kenya. You will be picked up from the airport and transferred to the Best Western Plus in Westlands. If your arrival is in the morning, you have a choice of taking some optional trips in Nairobi. Night at Best Western Plus.
DAY 2
After breakfast, you will leave on our expedition, heading south on the Mombasa Highway to Amboseli National Park. You will arrive in time for lunch at the beautiful Amboseli Serena Safari Lodge, which is located inside Amboseli National Park. In the evening, you will go
on a game drive, arriving back at the lodge before sunset. Dinner and night at Amboseli Serena Lodge.
DAY 3
After an early breakfast you will attempt to observe Mount Kilimanjaro, which is visible from the lodge on a clear day. Then you will go on a morning game drive in search of elephants, lions, zebra, giraffe, buffalo, various antelopes, hippos, and many birds. During the morning game drive guests normally witness the sight of hundreds of elephants that come out from the forest and go into the swamp. You will return to the lodge for lunch and a short rest. In the evening you will go on an evening game drive. Dinner and night at Amboseli Serena Lodge.
DAY 4
After breakfast, you have a second chance at observing the magnificent snow capped Mount Kilimanjaro while going on a short game drive before heading out of the park. Your drive will take us through the foothills of Kilimanjaro and the border of Tanzania, before arriving at the entrance of Tsavo East National Park. The game drive to Ashnil Aruba Lodge inside the park often gives you the opportunity to see animals. After arriving at the lodge for lunch, you will leave again in the evening on a game drive. Dinner and night at Ashnil Aruba Lodge.
DAYS 5, 6 & 7
Three full days days will be spent on game drives looking for elephants, lions, cheetahs, leopards, zebras, giraffes, buffaloes, hippos, crocodiles, and a variety of antelope. The large elephants at Tsavo East are known as “Red Elephants” – a name given to them due to the color of their skin that turns red due to the red soil and mud at the park. Tsavo East is the largest in Kenya, and each day we will take time to explore different areas, returning to the lodge for lunch, and then going on our evening game drives. Dinner and night at Ashnil Aruba Lodge.
DAY 8
You will leave camp on our game drive as dawn breaks, returning to camp for breakfast between 8:30-9:00 am, and then departing for Nairobi after taking a short game drive to the main gate. Lunch will be on the way, arriving in Nairobi in the late evening. Please arrange for your flight to leave after 11 pm tonight, or you can stay overnight (at an extra fee) in Nairobi and leave the following day.
ADDITIONAL DAYS OF SAFARI CAN BE ADDED TO YOUR SCHEDULE AT AN EXTRA COST.
