The Masai Mara
SCHEDULE
DAY 1
Guests arrive in Nairobi Kenya. You will be picked up from the airport and transferred to the Best Western Plus in Westlands. If your arrival is in the morning, you have a choice of taking some optional trips in Nairobi. Night at the Meridien.
DAY 2
After breakfast, you will leave on our expedition, heading to the Masai Mara National Park. You will stop for lunch along the way before we head to the main entrance of the park. Your game drive will commence as soon as we enter the park, stopping along the way to photograph the many animals, before arriving at Zebra Plains Camp in the evening. Dinner and night at Zebra Plains Camp.
DAY 3 and 4
After breakfast at camp, on both days you will explore the Masai Mara looking for cheetahs, lions, giraffes, zebras, gazelle, antelope, and elephants. The area close to camp is normally teeming with carnivores and prey, and the chances of seeing lions and cheetahs are pretty high. Lunch will be in the Mara if we plan to stay out all day, or you will return to camp for lunch and the then go out on an evening game drive. Dinner and night at Zebra Plains Camp.
DAY 5
Breakfast will be at camp, after which you will check out and leave on our morning game drive. Around lunch time, you will check in to Ashnil Mara camp, which is on the bank of the Mara River. Lunch will be at Ashnil Mara, from where you will leave for your evening
safari. Dinner and night at Ashnil Mara Camp.
DAY 6 and 7
Both days will be spent on game drives looking for elephants, lions, cheetahs, leopards, zebras, giraffes, buffaloes, hippos, crocodiles, and a variety of antelope. If weather permits, on one of the days you will have early breakfast and have lunch in the bush. This has been one of the favorite things that guests have enjoyed – having lunch or breakfast seated on a blanket in the world famous Masai Mara, with zebras and giraffes in the distance. You will also visit the Mara River to view hippos and crocodiles. Dinner and night at Ashnil Mara Camp.
***During the migration season your Driver-Guide will be making frequent game drives to the area near the Mara river to check for river crossings and photographic opportunities.
DAY 8
You will leave camp on our game drive after breakfast. Around late morning you will exit the park and depart for Nairobi. Lunch will be on the way, arriving in Nairobi in the late evening. Please arrange for your flight to leave after 11 pm tonight, or you can stay overnight (at an extra fee) in Nairobi and leave the following day.
ADDITIONAL DAYS OF SAFARI CAN BE ADDED TO YOUR SCHEDULE AT AN EXTRA COST.

The following camps and lodges have been specially selected and requested. However, the camps will not be booked and confirmed until the first deposit has been made.
